Overview:
Provide Project Controls support for the Jacobs Technology's Facilities Operating Services Contract Engineering Services Department at NASA's John C. Stennis Space Center (SSC). This involves developing Microsoft Project schedules for design and construction projects to ensure that the Engineering Services Department is meeting project objectives as they relate to schedule and budget. Duties also include creating, updating, and analyzing Earned Value charts and creating presentations in support of project review meetings with the customer.

Responsibilities:
Gather data from engineers and project managers to create and update Microsoft Project schedules
Creating Earned Value charts and updating various reports in Microsoft Excel
Analyzing resource workload across multiple projects
Updating PowerPoint presentations for project review meetings
Analyzing project cost using various formulas and pivot tables in Microsoft Excel
Creating project binders with various documentation for auditing purposes

Qualifications:
Applicant must possess a B.S. degree from an accredited college or university with at least three (3) years in a progressive administrative support role with one (1) year of that experience working as a scheduler or project controller in the Engineering and/or Construction Management field.
Must be well organized, extremely flexible and capable of juggling multiple priorities simultaneously
Must be able to successfully communicate with project managers, engineers, construction managers, and customers
Must be well rounded in Microsoft Office Suite
Must be well rounded in Microsoft Project or other similar scheduling software
Familiar with Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts and be able to apply them to analyze the health of projects
Experience developing Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
Experience using Microsoft Excel charts and pivot tables
Experience in the Engineering and Construction field a Plus
MS Office knowledge is required
MS Project or other similar scheduling software required
Commercial/Industrial Facility Engineering/Construction background is a plus
Must have the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement in resolving non-routine problems
Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts required
Physical Requirements:
Could require sitting for extended periods of time while in office. (80%)
While working in the field, must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities - crawl, climb, etc. (20%)
Work Environment:
Work will be performed both inside and outside depending on the task. May be exposed to the elements (heat, cold, rain, and etc.)
Travel between various facilities may be required and may bring exposure to load noise and potentially hazardous equipment operations.
Equipment and Machines:
Requires ability to operate a personal computer (typical software used is Microsoft Office), a telephone, copier, and other general office equipment.
Attendance:
Punctuality and regular attendance is required (100%). Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday to Friday.
