PHYSICAL SCIENTIST

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience serving as a liaison and/or leading in Hydrographic Science. Experience establishing procedures and methodology for collecting, processing, evaluating, and compiling hydrographic and bathymetric data for the purpose of the dissemination of highly-specialized nautical charting products that address Safety of Navigation (SoN), Fleet Operations, and other DOD/DON requirements. Experience Traveling as a hydrographic, bathymetric lead, or Position & Water Levels Lead (PWLL) lead aboard NAVOCEANO survey vessels or as a member of a detached survey team. Experience Collecting, processing, evaluating and incorporates hydrographic, bathymetric and geodetic data into nautical charting products. Experience evaluating existing procedures and software packages used to collect, process, evaluate and incorporate hydrographic, bathymetric, geodetic, and geospatial data into nautical charting products. Experience leading and mentoring a person or team of junior scientist(s) within the branch. Experience Testing and/or evaluating new techniques and software packages to improve product lines and associated quality control procedures. Experience extracting bathymetry from various databases and produces digital datasets. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
