IT SPECIALIST (APPSW)

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience utilizing configuration management principles; Experience establishing and maintaining IT hardware and/or software baseline; Experience maintaining accurate configuration management data including approved IT configurations. Experience performing software quality assurance, monitoring, reviewing, and related testing and measurement. AND You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

Reviewing your information technology related work to ensure you followed the instructions provided in job aids and standard operating procedures before turning it in for higher level review.2. The incumbent is recognized as an agency specialist in IT planning. LCM, PM, CIM, and configuration management and works with Oceanography and Hydrography experts in tracking IT solutions. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency includes:
Exhibit skill in oral and written communications in order to present recommendations and conclusions based on analysis and evaluation of assigned IT projects to agency and major claimant top-level management 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency includes:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
